Hybrid.[Theatre].Ensemble is a theatre company founded in 2008 which focuses on exploring the collisions of various cultures and societies, dance and theatre, realism and non-traditional theatre, and poetic text and gestural movement.

 

 

At the core of the Hybrid Ensemble is the use of body, shape, and imagery to shed light on the social injustices and life occurrences that change the world  in which we live. Hybrid is interested in exploring the origins of these phenomena and questions their origins  and continuing existence. The work we produce takes our viewers on a journey of juxtaposition, mysticism, and unconventionality which asks them to reevaluate the world, the arts, and culture.

 

 

As the founding artistic director of Hybrid.[Theatre].Ensemble, it became my mission to define hybridity as a means of expression that cross-breeds various mediums of art and  differing cultures. In doing so, Hybrid is committed to making a world of theatre that demolishes the edifices of commercial art through head-on collision.

 

 

Hybrid.[Theatre].Ensemble's mission is to create innovation through this idea of head-on collision.
